Proper use
As with Ionamin diet pill, Adipex should be taken one hour before meals for best results. Never take more than is directed by the doctor, or for a longer period than prescribed.
Side effects
Nervous system effects, gastrointestinal disturbances, hives, and changes in libido are the most common and frequent manifestations while taking Adipex diet pill. Patients who take a combination of Phentermine and Fenfluramine or dexfenfluramine have experienced primary pulmonary hypertension (PPH) and cardiac valvular disease. Dry mouth (as with Ionamin diet pill), sleeplessness, irritability, stomach problems or constipation may appear in the first few days as the body adapts to the medication.
Precautions
General precautions refer to arteriosclerosis, cardiovascular disease, and moderate to severe hypertension.
- Before starting, you must inform your physician about other medication you are taking, as there are strong drug interactions of Adipex-X with other medicines. People with high blood pressure, an over-active thyroid, glaucoma, diabetes or emotional difficulties must consult with their physician before they are prescribed this diet pill. So-called “stimulant” drugs such as decongestants or caffeine are likely to cause interactions, as they increase heart rate. Over-the-counter cold and cough medications usually include decongestants.
